No problem. I actually checked after initially posting and I think the 3770 and 4770 is at basically the same price, you'll save like $30 or something, so again not really a big deal. Look for an H87 vs the Z87 motherboard if you're not OCing, you might save $50 or so there. Yeah well... YOUR BEARD IS TOO SHORT. -

You could get most of the material definition and base details done in SD or ddo in a few minutes after the initial setup but you will still need to handpaint a bunch of details to get to that quality indeed (the texts, tags, small specific and localized paint chips etc). I guess that's why we are creating Substance… -

Me too man. I think the initial complexity threw a bunch of people off. The new one is essentially the same with a layer of polish and a single player mode that pretty much works as an extended tutorial. Hopefully this'll help. You can do a replace but you'll have to add a Normal channel to your document, and activate it in your brush when you paint. The height channel can't override the initial normal map because the conversion to normal is done once for the whole stack. Height can "replace" height info that was painted on the layers below but… -

Mehhh...I got it down to 21.952 without having to redo anything more than reproject the initial normal and AO data. Anything more than that would significantly impact my UV unwrap and force me to entirely redo all the maps. To heck with it. Instead of initially, when it mentioned both 7,500 tris and 5,000 tris as the limit, now it only states 7,500 tris. (I always thought creatures were less polys than characters.) pior, there's a brush that does the same thing in ZBrush 3.5 (or at least very similar if I understand you right) - basically you just start painting and whatever the initial plane you started painting at was, it'll flatten the surrounding stuff you paint onto that plane. Since I'm generating the initial cube map from a real environment do I need to model the my cube first that the texture is going to be applied to and capture the data that way to remove all distortion when it's converted to a lat long image? Or does hdrshop just not have the ability to make a lat long from a cube without…
