Hi polycount, Does Anyone know a script or a paid plugin in maya that can duplicate like a directional array? This is what I'm talking about. http://recordit.co/SPkMniaM2y Thanks for the time.
bit array is though a lot faster - and if you are once familiar with them they can improve the performance. And some methods in maxscript require bit arrays as parameters like when passing over a selection to transform and so on. for bit arrays you can use:for v in myBitarray do(print("element: "+v as string);)
Got one more day to work on the project until I have to get back to work work money money. What building data network code is? How well can it all be processed through an array.
In the loop you're placing trees, each time you place a tree you add it to the array. Next time you add a tree you're checking the array if it's already in there, if not place it. :)
<bool>maxOps.CloneNodes <&node array>nodes offset:<point3> expandHierarchy:<boolean> cloneType:<enum> actualNodeList:<node array> newNodes:<node array> I think this function should do the trick, for more info look in the help as always :) Found this by using the listener, it actually is helpfull sometimes :P I hope this…
This is why side-effects make stuff hard  You're iterating over an array and modifying that array at the same time. Either collect a new array as you go instead of deleting from you working set, or iterate backwards (i.e. for i = prueba1.count to 1 by -1 do (local TheName = prueba1[i] ...).
Is it possible to populate an array with information from a text file. The info in the text file would just be numbers on different lines. I've no idea how to do this, any help would be appreciated :)
