yes this is very true, we dont use triangles or even count poly budgets in them. straight up quads and we get our monies worth.. average about 6000-8000 quads per chacracter, not sure of the environment specs.
I've been watching the Prisoner, its from the 1960s, but its very good. http://www.amctv.com/videos/the-prisoner-1960s-video/?bcpid=2517767001&bclid=6012619001&bctid=6069547001
Got it now, thanks Gonzo. After alot of searching and playing around with it I got some nice real time dynamic lighting in conjunction with regular static/built lighting. For whatever reasonthe static meshes themselves must have bForceDirectLightMap and bUsePreComputedShadows turned off and bCastDynamicShadow turned on,…
It's hard to say because I think that everyone has different skills and opinions. As far as I go, I have loved my stay here for the past 2 years, and have seen my skills grow tremendously thanks to my classes. And recently the school has aquired some amazing teachers. However, I think that it is safe to say that all…
I was overjoyed at this release. The great thing about this release is that it's geared specifically at the game artist, with a heaping of additional features that any game artist would love. Here are some examples of it's capability, both with game content and pre-rendered scenes.…

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time as they'd become impacted and were growing in at funky angles. Totally Painless. I remember they did the anesthetic and I closed my eyes...opened em back up and said "when do we start?" and they're like "we're done!" ...And then I went home and made out with a…
the sidewalk looks a million times better, the curve is still chunky though, dont be afraid to add quite few polys for a nice silhouette, anything under 600 tris in unreal is pretty much free, especailly since the way it instances the props. the normal for the bricks on the wall is really bad. you can see where you cloned…
I did some digging around today and found out some more stuff. There are two versions of each character - a high version and a low one (not a LOD of the high btw, it's got its own QC file to compile from). I think you're posting the LODs from the high one where they're too far away to warrant using the eye shader and also…
