Congrats from me too, mate. Here's hoping your version of the game is reviewed a little more kindly than the DS one. As for credits, my name doesn't appear in either the manual or in game credit role of my first game.
I think you'd do well to check your reference again - the barrel assembly & "pump" look different on all the pictures I've found.. http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20080714064745/metalgear/images/9/96/Sps-ds-m37.jpg
My cellphone is an ancient Nokia one that has neither a color display nor Java. I've never thought "man, I'd love to do __________ with this thing". Mostly because I have a DS and don't need any crappy cellphone games.
I'd think that too if i were applying to work as a mainstream artist, but i'm looking into mobile gaming, things like cell phones, ds, and iphone. And i dont think they'd get anywhere near that many applications for their mobile sector.
follows some screengrabs from the scene as it stands now: starting to turn it into some sort of bloody mess :P found tav's blog (he was one of the environment artists for dead space), and it served as a good inspiration: http://www.tavshande.com/2008/ds/wires/
great as always heh the apron makes me want to hug him lol sorry about drummer1075 hes new here and my friend he can be noob sometimes he said he thought your ds was mine weird huh?
How ! I never noticed that. Pretty handy. thanks :) edit: But is that relay light enough for less powerful platforms (I'm thinking about DS and co) I mean , you have to load at lest 2 textures instead of 1 ! just wondering.
Nice! DS was a great game. They did a great job with suspense in the first one, never really knowing when something might jump out and eat your brains. The audio was really well done as well. Hopefully DS2 meets all expectations :)
Agreed, there are far too many models of some consoles. SONY is the biggest culprit of this. It's not very fair. Mind you, I am glad that I was one of the people who shuddered at the sight of the original DS and decided to wait for the inevitable re-model :D
That's an amazingy effective art technique. We used to do bits and pieces like that back on the DS, but I've seen it used right across the entirety of the art assets like this. Any chance we could get a look at a few of your texture maps?
