Welcome Big problem with your site... when I view your 3d work, I can't get back to your main page without using the back button. Then I'm forced to reload the flash and start from scratch. I kind of gave up looking at your work because of it :/
Thanks for the feedback, actually thats camo paint on his face jumpers used in world war 2. The hand i am gonna make bigger hands and re physiqu it,i like the dogtag idea but buttons werent part of that uniform, well they are but that center cloth part of the shirt covers them.
i run a customized gui with all the unnecessary buttons and menus removed .. not sure if it helps loadtimes .. more ram would probably help too.. 2 gigs here.. If i am loading it first time around it takes a bit over 20 seconds .. any time after that is rather quick ..
No, it's not that simple either. You still have to mess with the materials, and adjust the patterns, and tweak and tweak. There is no "make art" button. The import obj and trace UV's as pattern just simplifies the initial hard part of the workflow. Saves a few hours work in some cases. If you are trying to make complicated…
My patio chair is finally in. I had some troubles baking and with the low-poly at first but it was a simple fix. I like the light-colored cushions but I don't know if I like the dark trim + buttons. If you have any thoughts on the chairs let me know!
You have to have something above your Editable Poly in the stack. So give your mesh a turbosmooth, then go down to editable poly (bottom of the stack) and hit your hotkey. Might work without a multiple-key hotkey (try one button instead of ctrl+g)
The first viewer scene in this artstation page. It just has the cubemap lighting the scene with three spots on the map. The buttons are emissives. Would be good to get this looking a little bit like the viewport, and I've probably missed something, but I'm still working on it. Thanks.…
Try hitting the 'Zoom Document' button on the right toolbar beside the Tool palette. Also, hide any subtools that are not the plane you are trying to frame, and then press Frame. Then bring back the subtools you want. Your document should completely frame your plane assuming all are square.
Yeah, that... In ue4 (and presumably unity) you can dump the whole scene out as one fbx, tick a few boxes, set up materials and iterate on UVs/meshes etc to your heart's content with no more effort then hitting the export button in max. Give it a shot, you'll be surprised
great tip! running windows 7 with xmouse button control here and had the same issue in max 2011. going into xmouse control window, clicking on settings and unchecking "make scroll wheel scroll window under cursor" does the trick. maybe that will help someone down the years.
