Some most obvious "did you....?" from someone who's been banging his head on normal maps baking for the last few months: .- did you export high and low in the same format? OBJs and FBXs seem to export with different scales and axis directions (at least in Blender) -. did you make low-polys by ZRemesh-ing in ZBrush or by…
Well we did the Halo 4 prologue and epilogue, and that game also had the Spartan Ops series created by Axis. What we're working on now is a bit different in that it's gonna be used to mask the level loads and thus it'll probably be unskipable. You'd be pulled out of the game and obviously nobody wants to look at a…
@kaptainkernals I ran into a different problem with this which is that there doesn't appear to be any way to fit the mesh to your curve and so I'm just left eyeballing it while I try to scale it. Then I have to go back afterward and snap all the connecting vertices to the right locations. It works though so I appreciate…

We haven't changed the local coordinate system, so I'm not aware of any differences. The added local aligned system is smarter when dealing with aligning the axis based on the geometry.
Hi Guys, This is my first time doing anything like this. I have modeled a basic layout of the scene. I plan to make it into a brewery cellar or a Dexter kill room? Let me know what you think =] Thanks Axeum
Import your low poly and high poly. In the move tool settings there's an option to move along the normals: turn that on. Switch to vertex mode, select all the verts on your low poly and move out along whichever axis, probably Z, until it covers the high poly. Afterward you can tweak it as much as you need, then simply…
I'm confused, you're trying to go from Max's UVW to source's texture projection system (this) And your trying to do this by only reading u/v co-ordinates? Your setting yourself up for the impossible if that's the case as the math to transfer between the two would be WAY out of the leauge of most anyone who'd do it for…
That's probably an issue with bone orientation.... But the second image, looks like you are doing the IKhandle between the clavicle and the wrist bone, should be from the shoulder bone to the wrist bone. Be sure to have your shoulder bone, elbow bone and wrist bone to the same orientation(same axis rotation), so when you…
