You could start with seam generation as an initial task. That's one of the worst time-suck offenders that should be automated, imho. The current crop of auto-unwrappers all tend to create lots of tiny islands, which pack poorly, and LOD horribly. It seems to me this is an area of research that would be ripe for machine… -

You're the 2nd person that's mentioned Redwall when looking at this image. I've never heard of it before, but I can see how it can remind you of it. :) I got my initial inspiration from Mouse Guard and Mice and Mystics. I then just tried to add a Souls inspiration to the image after. Thanks a lot for the comment! -

Initially the mood of the scene was to be right after the rain, but i'm still deciding what the final look will be. P.S. Cheers for that mate. Always good to hear an unbiased assessment from a Modo user, rather than the usual silly 'fan-boy' comments. I'm sure I'll try it again when 10.3 is released. The initial excitement about the big push towards game-specific features was what prompted me to have another bash. -

I think you need to check your initial references. The most obvious problem is the the bow machine gun and the driver's vision port are on the wrong side. Beyond that, many of the shapes just don't match their real-life counterparts - e.g. the shape of the bow machine gun's armor, the commander's hatch, the smoke… -
