Not sure if it's the exact same issue, but I can't export either; when I hit the button, it asks me to save some PSDs for some reason (titled like "Albedo nM-bI-np-ES copy.psd" which I'm assuming is definitely not right), and that's it. I'm on win7/Photoshop CC2014
Wow, I was not expecting such a clean and accurate result from that. I was sitting there watching him lay down all those lines then waiting for him to hit the magic button, not expecting much. When he did hit it and that mesh popped out I audibly went, "whaaaaaat." Pretty awesome.:)
Holy cow, mortalhuman, you come across like a crazy guy on the subway. The "Mac's don't have the software selection" is even more silly than the "one button mouse!" argument. It's kind of like the Mac user argument that Windows can't handle as many colors or sound channels at once.
You can imagine the shock I had the first time I saw this "Slate Material Editor"... I mean, I guess it isn't so bad, it's not like I haven't done node-based stuff yet... but the "switch to compact material editor" button was swiftly pressed. =P
I had thought about the t-pose. Would the t-pose cause lighting problems, or is there a way to avoid those? IE, would dynamic lighting cause improper shadowing from the differing angles? Thanks, wish we had a thumbs up button i could press for you :)
Your cage bake appears to be providing the correct results, however it looks like an object space normal map rather than a tangent space normal map. Click on the green "..." button next to the normal map entry in xNormal (in the Baking Options tab) and make sure "Tangent Space" is ticked.
Not much time left, so GOGOGO! To add images here you need to use add image button on top of editing post window. To edit post press top-right icon in your message area. Here is better description. http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2443102/#Comment_2443102
Yeah, i see what you mean.. Though the recording is a little too bright, it isn't as awful as it might seem in this video ;-) But if i were to develop a version of this, i would make it customizable to the preferences of the user. So you could choose your own background and menu buttons for example..
If you close down 3DO by pressing the X button and then re-open it - does it show up then? Also, out of curiosity, if you add a Smart Material and then after press C in 3DO, does it appear then? These are just possible workarounds, but should help you with your project until it's been fixed.
Ah! I think I forgot to hit the reply button. XD @Alemja: Thanks! I took a break from it for a while and then tried to take another stab at it with all the feedback. I think I'll fix the metal parts in the low poly. :) Thank you very much for the feedback! :D
