You have some good work in there but I think you're holding onto some weak pieces that might hold you back. Always flush out your older, less attractive pieces with newer ones. If you want good writing you gotta look past AAA blockbusters this year. Imho the best storytelling this year was in Styx: The Master of Shadows, relatively unknown stealth action game. It's pretty great. -

If you take into account casual games and indie games, a heck of a lot more than 80 games a year are succesfull. It's realistic that maybe each year there will be 80 "blockbusters", with huge budgets and huge profits. -

I'll probably play the single player for ridiculous Hollywood blockbuster action, play the online for 2 hours, and then remember, yet again, that I am just not a fan of online shooters. -

This really sucks, sorry to hear, for those affected. It's sad that if a game isn't a major blockbuster it seems to be considered a huge failure. The general public's expectations these days are downright pathetic. I hope everyone lands on their feet! -
