I wish YouTube would allow more than 10 min. for stuff like this because Vimeo is slow, buggy (sometimes doesn't initialize in Chrome & Opera) and can't seek inside the video :( it is fine for small stuff thats loaded fast, but not for big stuff. nice videos never the less :)
seems like rawkstar has a point :) My 'new' brute randomly made as pupil but flattened the much higher lvl master on initial creation haha http://dfgdfgdfgdfgss.mybrute.com old: http://moooooh.mybrute.com It has the flail thingy, but somehow it got a flawless victory against a dude with a much bigger morningstar.
Currently there are no videos nor is it easy to manually convert the ShaderFX shaders into Unity or UDK. In UDK, you will probably find the nodes that exist there to be similar to what you find in ShaderFX, but you would be rebuilding the graph in both places (which sucks). In Unity, you have "ShaderLabs" which is their…
Eric Chadwick said: haha Eric I was the one who wrote you the email, and thanks a lot for complement the information with this. Actually this images are very very good examples. I took a look at your links but I still have a little doubt. I see you imported the unity terrain to 3ds max, optimized it and then re import it…
Typically, you see environment artists using UE4 on Polycount. Unreal Engine is definitely more artist friendly and has a great environment workflow, especially compared to Unity and CryEngine. But all engines have their own pros and cons, CryEngine might be a good choice if you want an outdoor scene where you change the…
Welp, heres my final image for the hard surface challenge. I got as much done as I could with the time I had left and over all I'm pretty happy with it. The proportions of the block-in look very different from the final image despite all of the models and placements being identical. I couldn't get the camera in unity to…
If I am actively seeking though I'll post in all my usual suspects:* Unreal forums * Polycount freelance section * Gameartist.net * mapcore * http://www.reddit.com/r/gameDevClassifieds/ * Unity Forums Almost every freelance job I've done has been as a result of the unity forums for some reason, even though I have no work…
Unity automatically, by default, divides by 100 (no matter that you set meters as the working scale in Maya) any imported fbx file. You must either: 1) In Unity, set the scale to 1 (instead of .01) in the Inspector and then hit the apply button at the bottom of the Inspector window, or best solution: 2) in the Maya fbx…
Here's a webplayer of the current level in Unity, still WIP. There's alot of exploring to do in here so have a good look around and see what you guys think. Might want to warn you it's not for lower end cards we went all out using alot of unitys current effects. Such as sunshafts, bloom, dual lightmapping with soft shadows…
ok removed version 13.1 and installed 12.4 (just randomly picked one a few month ago) and what can I say.. unity fixed and max works. Nice! Maybe that's not the newest driver that works but I'm happy for the moment. If someone else has the same problem in the future here are the specs win 7 64bit Radeon HD 6900 Series…
