In this case, you wouldnt share textures either. You would have an unwrap containing the skin parts, and another one for everything else. -

Found the error, - I needed to 'shade smooth' my low poly model in Blender, prior to exporting. Hope this will be useful for someone else -

Maybe it's just the angle but I remember his face being longer/narrower, liking the detail on everything else so far though. -

You need to have UV seams where your hard edges(smoothing groups) are, or else you will get "seam" type artifacts. -
