[ THE IDEA ] The main idea of the project is to create a 3D animated short meets music video film about the journey of a young graffiti artist. [ THE PITCH ] Growing up in what he perceives as a selfish society and witnessing a myriad of injustices occur worldwide, Zio is moved to take action. Reclaiming the rooftops of…
Thanks for the feedback TerraBite. The textures were intended to be somewhat simplified in shading to simulate the more cartoonist style of the game, and the nice thing about mobile development is that everything is essentially a continuous work in progress so we may well be able to take more time on them later ;) . Thanks…
Too long since my last update, feels like forever. For this update, though, the modeling is "finished" as I've reached my self-imposed deadline for this character. Cheri is now finished, despite being incomplete, and further work on her will need to happen in the midst of my other projects. Attached is a composite…
@Ryan You're welcome. Check out this cartoonbrew entry from last year: http://www.cartoonbrew.com/ideas-commentary/how-much-money-animated-shorts-earn-on-youtube-58388.html Yeah, working on my own IPs too but not all for youtube.
It really depends on what you wish to achieve. Modeling each blade of grass seperately gives a very distinct, sort of cartoonish look (because you have to save SOME polys, cant just go all-out) for realistic grass you will get much better looking and performing results with alpha cards of clumps of grass scattered around.…
but In all seriousness it looks pretty good. for arch viz I think its a bit to cartoonish though. you should probably be more subtle with your postprocess/effects.
I agree with Lotet. Proportions are great and blending/rendering looks already really good as well! Something seems to be off with the male character´s face though. I think the eyes are a little too long, maybe you should round them up a bit. But then again, I´m not perfect with faces anyway ^^' As for the concepts, well,…
Yea I've been watching some videos on caricature. I think that's more important than "accuracy" in a likeness. The guy I'm watching basically says start with your average human head then take stock of the differences from the average in the person you're sculpting and push them a bit further. I'm finding people with more…
Haha the new lights are neat! Im really liking this one! Got to agree with the other guys with the color variation but I dont think you need darken the textures, the style you choose is more cartoonish, so the color saturation for me is really nice. Dungeons defenders have a nice tavern that could help you a bit…
just some more crits: 1: I feel this one is a bit weak proportionwise, still suffers from the same problems as the last painting. Also the ass feel quite disconnected from the rest, lifts up too quickly. 2: this is getting somewhere, though i really recognize the Mazda Furai to much in here, try to refrain from copying too…
