i`ll try to participate this month too... was thinking of a wintery Axe set.... a team-up would be great, but as usual, if nobody wants to team with me i`ll be solo battling.
Thanks for the help guys. Actually, it's just solo props (vehicles, weapons, etc) that I'm planning to render inside udk. Do I have to unwrap another uv's for lightmaping? Thanks.
low poly'd and unwrapped some more bits (after consulting the wiki for best practices regarding normal smoothness and UVs for baking) and brought them into Subtsance Painter. Up next the hill, trees and the holo ads.
Love the artwork all around and amazed at the weapon textures! This is going to be good, I'm a little jelly it is a good thing. :) Inspired by your solo mission as well, imagine your profits if It all turns out well. :)
our own blankslatejoe talking about his xp with solo developing his game Tower of Gun. Some good info http://www.gdcvault.com/play/1021895/Creative-Corner-Cutting-Tower-of
Learn the solo from Stairway to Heaven - it's a staple for anyone who wants to be awesome. Also, if you can shred that then you'll probably get laid too. Win/win I think they call that.
Looks amazing. I can't believe how much work has gone into this all solo. Wow. For some reason the atmosphere of the different scenes make me feel sad and melancholic, but not in a bad way. Positively disorienting.
I agree with ZacD (and a few others now that I'm reading through this thread). I think a solo-only contest would be more appealing for newbies such as myself who don't really know many people on Polycount.
Awesome work man, regretting that I don't have the skills to do one of your wicked holo-knife concepts. It was bugging me that I couldn't who to credit, I should be better at goggling I guess.
yeah I'm glad this stuff is available finally, definitely going to pick up the mug, but for the shirts and hoodie the logo is just a bit big for my taste. I like the polo idea one posted earlier, haha
