Change the shader in the viewer settings, use the pbr shader with "alpha test" in its name. This will show the back side of the faces. -

You don't need a glow map, at all in fact, use the glow slider, it will illuminate anything, you can pick colors and you could animate it if you set up the animations in max I bet.
