Great work. I guess Anastasia Opera at this point is kinda mandatory material for this kind of work. I assume you created all the Elements in a more traditional workflow (modelling, ZBrush (if necessary) and texturing). Man this thread went right into favorites. I am obsessed with learning houdini right now. Absolutly…

Still working on composition for background and external elements as well as the chain to see if I can put more feeling into the entire piece taking my time to work out and render out the rest of the materials, but so far my entire progress for the piece. Gonna have to power through for the next few days, more updates to…
I don't know what vidya means, but THIS is the game I've wanted to see for years now. A realistic dragonball (z/gt) game, that's gritty, open world, has rpg elements, and possibly doesn't follow cannon perfectly. A reboot of the franchise for sure. Not just another cell-shaded button masher that gets remade over and over.
Well, today I had a couple of minutes so I did some progress. I started to export some of the elements of the scene to CryENGINE and after that I took my first look to Substance painter. By the moment I don't known so many aspects and tools of this software but I'm not very disappointed with the first results.
i think it was very well balanced along all the elements. Ofcourse some things could have looked better but overal this is one of the better realtime cinematics i've seen especially if you consider it's running on a ps3 (or so i think) anyway i believed the message they were bringing across and that's what counts in the end
People say alot of things and there's usually an element of truth in it, but theres sometimes also some misunderstanding. The best thing you can do is test it for yourself. If not, you'll never know. I reccomend testing it in ZBrush like I said above, but if you don't want to you can always just remove that new topology.
Unless the paint has worn off recently, the bare metal underneath will have become weathered and thus less shiny. Keep in mind that one of the main purposes for painting metal is to protect the metal from the elements. The combination of English text in the display and the apparently alien icons on the buttons seems a bit…
Well I have reworked my concept to try and push some more Chinese looking elements into the design. I am just hoping it wont take away from LC's distinct silhouette. (I think whatever I do with the flags will make a big part of that). I hope this is feeling a little more Chinese :S
It's fine to emulate styles and it's cool remaking elements from games, it shows you can replicate a style. What would be better though is to make a scene with assets that you've concepted yourself in that style. For example, imagine you're working on a scene from a future WoW expansion:D Good work though dude, keep at it…
