You might have to add some subdivisions to some of the tools you're merging to make sure they all have the same number of subdivisions (eg: 5). I think history is preserved this way, and if not there is always the reconstruct subdivision button. -

Reset the pivot. Go to the Hierarchy tab (I think) of the right panel, and hit the "affect pivot only." It is the very first button. With the rotation tool active, right click on all the spinners at the bottom of the screen containing rotation values. -
Re: Max 2012 - Alpha Render Issue?
Tried turning premultiplied on and off and still an issue. I've turned on every button in the opacity part of the shader and still get this. I'm wondering if its some new rendering setting in 2012. Never had this issue with previous versions. -

Under "display" there is the "trace" button. Just press it and select the image you want as a uv tile background. Eventually you can display this also on the object in 3d view. I´ll try it when i´m at the office. -

XFormer 2.1.1 has been released. What's New - Fixed a redraw bug that temporary aligned the object to Z axis when clicking the Apply button or when dragging the confirmation dialog, and "Always Align to Z Axis" is checked. -

Website updated. Miles better looking. Couple minor tweaks left. For those interested again, there is a notify button when available on the next DVD. ETA is at the shortest 2 weeks, probably in the 3 to 4 week range though. -

I decided to model my phone. In my country it's called Vip Racer 3 while offically it's ZTE Blade 3. The model isnt completed.(didnt add some buttons on the side and charger port on the bottom) Enjoy!
