great comp and inspiring work velsen! If I may add, it might be cool to have the left and top part of the helmet read more dark since the light source seems to be low. Right now it reads as though it is lit from all directions. that being said, awesome work! will be watching the progress on this one!
Hello guys :) i'm so happy to take part of this contest!!!! So many talents here!!! So now i'm trying to work on the design. somebody to take a look on it. I don't have the colors yet.
some point unclear there: what is the main material for robe? it looks like leathers but then character wont be able to move. So it silk? if its silk the golden part could be interpreted as golden threads and if te main material is leather cheets - what is could be, golden paint/foil?)))
Thanks Kodde! That was going to be part of the next article. however i'll edit the first post to mention that those are the same things. sidenote: I wonder if they're called "vectors" because in c/c++ a vector is a collection of data, and so a vec3 would be a vector with 3 pieces of data...
With the final direction nailed down, can start working on the hero shot. Close up of the throne itself. Em is doing the throne, panels wing logo and other bits you can see there. I am doing the surround plane part.

Technically, I only want the effect to take place when the camera is facing to a pretty blazing light source. Of course the ground is darker than the sky, so it makes sense to use scene texture…
Worked on RAGE for 3 years, here's some stuff I made during that time. It was quite a collaborative project, so some things got outsourced and some things got touched up by alot of different people. I did alot of the early main NPCs, alot of the base parts and textures and alot of kitbashing for making variations of…
defiantly scale up the handle id broaden up the damage on the corners of the hammer too, to hard to read at that texture size if you don't over exaggerate things, im doing this one this weekend myself haha, funny to see others with it too, I think its cool how they set it up. with the 3 parts.
Awesome visual style you have going! Loving everything about it. For your latest creature, you could have the jump and hover (flying) form part of the spit attack, especially if the spit attack is particularly powerful. Because the creature forms a nice targettable silhouette when in the air.
Hi guys, this is my blockout at the moment. I don't know how much time I will have for the challenge these months so I decided focus on the main part of the concept. I still to fix some volumes but I am content with the result
