You should have mentioned mental ray in your first post, since that's one of your requirements. Making your questions more complete will help you get faster & better answers in the future. -

That's funny, I didn't even notice ProBoolean... I wonder if that'd work any better... mind you I'm almost finished cleaning up the extrude but I'd like to know for future use. -

ha ha ha exactly it would be sacrilege. :D Just saw the new X-Wing or is it a T-Wing fighter on a charity video message by J.J. Abramms could be a future modelling project there, maybe. :)
