Simple plane. I inset and applied just normal map. 1 smoothing group . Still appear. I don't have problem in blender and when i export form blender to UE4 but i have to work now in 3ds max and have to solve that mystery
Wow thanks for the crit, didn't even realise someone had posted :) Will post the update tonight, i'll increase the light intensity Perhaps its better I use a box instead of a plane? Might solve a few of these visual issues :) and might represent the material better.
Here's another problem area where the seams become obvious when the model is deformed. I still have no idea how to solve it. A friend said I should increase the padding in the texture, but that did absolutely nothing. Does anyone have any helpful ideas?
Thats a nice thought. If i will solve the color map problem, i am thinking about to make some custom animation with somebody, and opened mouth can be the right detail in this case. Initialy this spirit was planned like he has no mouth at all, but that looked weird.
http://pushingpoints.com/v2/2014/08/29/shut-up-and-get-back-to-creating/ please enough of those mindless software wars. :poly122: just sit down take a tool which you can afford and test it while creating stuff, case solved.
That comic kinda misses alot of point that renting the DVD would solve honestly, I wish people would stop doing the entire "we watched a movie with some friends and now we have a well informed opinions that sees plots holes in comic form".
Cheers man. I've solved it now. I re-moddeled the low and the normal bake is working. (even the normal messed up some how on the last one). Im going to try the AO when I get in from work. Thanks for ur help man.
Solved this with a solution suggested by my colleague. 7 rows of python code was all it took. I'm pretty much querying every frame in my range for it's value. Then creating new indexes with colors and positions in a ramp node. I.e. keyframe value = color and frame = position.
I just have to pop in and say -> WOW !! I love it, top to bottom. I can already imagine the SG team walking around the temple and trying to solve its mysteries. Great work mate and thank you for reminding me of Stargate, it was such a good show.
Cross posting this thread I started since I eventually found a solution if it's the uv editor problem. I noticed for my Radeon 5850 specifically this problem was solved in newer versions of thier drivers. http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90002&page=2
