Vic - that is not all what I said, Megascans suffered more from the personal tragedies that affected Quixrl staff, more so than DDO, hence: ddo is further along than what we had initially expected.
My suggestion is to not use prospective till you blocking Also initially will be much easy to block in straight lines later on you can do the same with curve or just smooth straight line and adjust to mach your reference
mm.. i think it may be something to do with my initial shadinggroup or something. When I export and import into another file all the material assigning works ok. But when imported back into this file weird things happen
Re-built it myself with those 13 JPG and looks like initial DNG worked subtly better. JPGs make a few geometry artifacts I don't see on previous reconstruction Anybody is willing to beat it with Reality Capture?
Also on the first page is my initial reaction to this show. I have fallen. Cupcakes and Share and Care are in my head. Eh, might as well embrace it. Would be nice with more Moon yes, also, awesome picture Makkon :)
Yeah, I definitely wouldn't recommend a 3d painting program to make finished textures, but they're great tools for laying down the initial shapes in a texture when you're working on an object with such weird shapes and un-intuitive unwrap.
Thanks guys! Ya initially I was bummed it never saw the light of day, but the experiences I had while developing it, shopping it around, talking with the people who pull the trigger on these sorts of things, etc. etc. was well worth it.
Gnoop, what's with all your posts having tons of blank space at the end of them? About depth; Yes you could do it without deriving the initial depth from meshs, but that would be a lot less user friendly.
Making some nice progress, really like the Wolf Head Mace. Out of curiosity are you using alot of soft brushes initially to build up your colors then refining with a hard brush? Keep up the great work.
I initially heard of this program several years ago, from where? Here of course! Haha. Actually a game called Nosferatu used this program first for the character model's faces. It is a fun little program to play around with though.
