Thanks for the tip! I tried that, and it’s definitely better. I might still use some roof assets to add a bit of extra variation along the edges. I’m also working on a trim sheet for the wooden parts, such as beams, pillars, etc. Wood in No rest for the Wicked: I’m not a very good painter, but I’m trying to replicate the…
Brilliant. Friggin' FBX Viewer, and others, weren't showing the blend shape animations on playback. However, the file sizes were different when toggling Blend Shapes only for Maya export. Imported into Unity and presto, it worked. I've been here before in this most frustrating blend shape saga so thank you for the clue!
Hello polycount! I've never shared work here before, but I'm trying to reach out and find more folks to talk with about this kind of stuff. I think I’ll use it more as inspiration for an extra VFX layer around the portal, rather than rebuilding my whole effect from scratch. For now I’m going to first…

Octane is still a champion when you need to tweak and render complex bioms using its cool GPU based scatter on surface nodes put in groups . If you…
First of all, thank you so much for your reply! Those are really great questions, I'm basing it off a 2D concept art provided by a client actually, so I don't know much about the characters backstory except that they've been in fights and they're in a post apocaliptic setting. As for reference photos, this is one of the…
