I've been wondering for a while now if there was some sort of resource that compilates all kinds of contests that are going on. I often only get wind of contests once the artists are done and post it on Artstation. Does anyone know if there is something like that?
This thread has become a jumble of people posting pics and wanting them to be the next contest picture. The organisers should either pick one to be the next contest or tell us which 5 (or so) need to be voted for or this will never end.
I think things like the Mixamo contest need to be proactively put into their own sub forum. It's super annoying right now seeing 10 different Mixamo contest threads when trying to look through everything else.
Thrilled I placed 3rd in the fantasy category for the Substance Designer procedural material contest. The contest was sponsored by Allegorithmic and NVIDIA. You can download the substance here. More of my free substances can be found here. Enjoy!

Hi guys, I've been searching for some MEL/Python material for study and found not too much things... Could someone post here anything good for a basic and initial study? Cheers
Well, I actually completed this guy for the contest. Learned, and struggled my way through it. Definitely gonna take a break from contests right now. Marmoset viewer here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/kwXW2
i think a great goal for you would be to participate in a game art contest! i think that is a great challenge for you to overcome. search around for contests and other similar forum events and learn what is required. ;)
