mine is quite simplistic and sculpting-focused. i use a couple hotkeys in addition and i haven't updated this UI much since zbrush 3.1 or so. just a question though - i marked a grey 'safe-frame'-overlay in my screenshot. what needs changing to get rid of that element?
There's no real concept, just a mash-up of elements inspired mostly by Ian's lightship concept; http://www.leet.cc/lightship_landscape.jpg Yeah I might go with baking separate pieces like you described, doing it when stuff is close to eachother sounds like something is bound to go wrong. :P
Hi, so many great arts here. Here's 2 of my latest concept arts. here's an earth elemental, so few female golem concept out there. hehe cruel queen concept, I'm trying to make a 3d of this one. Will ty to post it when done haha TNX!
No one else does exploratory platforming like Tomb Raider does. As long as they dont balls it up greatly, and keep to the core elements of what Tomb Raider is, then it could go on for a long time(unless someone does it better, which is unlikely knowing the general lack of creativity or ingenuity in the industry).
Ooo looks pretty interesting, nice eerie music aswell. :) At first I was surprised you used translucent meshes with many elements, I usually wince whenever someone says "just make the character 'fadeout'". But you pull it off well, actually utilizing it as part of the style.
Hi Artstream, Is that on the build from earlier this week? If so email me the files at: alecmoody@gmail.com. Based on the colors in the normal map it looks like channel inversion- have you tried hitting those mesh elements with a reset xform to see if they are in fact facing the wrong way after mirroring?
Looks super rushed on both the art side and technical execution side. Not sure what the prompt was or if you had a concept to follow, but if just feels generic and boring. There is no contrast at all, no focal point, and no interesting compositional elements. Sorry to sound harsh, but your other portfolio stuff is a lot…
Agreed ^ If it's set 20 years in the future, think of how much could change in that time. I'd suggest looking at more reference than just images of the tube, think of films like Total Recall, Blade Runner, 5th Element; all three are good examples of "20 minutes into the future"
Can you put up a mov of the explosion so we can scrub it? Would make it easier to look at the elements of the explosion and hopefully eliminate any stuttering. When I look at the youtube video it's a bit jerky and I don't know if that's down to youtube, my computer or your video :/
There. I changed some colors to separate the differente elements better. <a href="https://s28.photobucket.com/user/Olivier_Theriault/media/HeadTopo_339_comp_zpsb70fd8a3.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="https://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c208/Olivier_Theriault/HeadTopo_339_comp_zpsb70fd8a3.jpg~original" border="0" alt="…
