I'm sorry. But the gameplay elements that Q3 introduced are horrible. It makes it too newbie friendly and takes away the necesity to play the game to get better at it. Q4 multiplayer should be nothing more than a graphical overhaul of Q2 multiplayer. It's fucking Q3 all over again. *sigh*
Its been more than a year since my last post on this project. But thankfully I have managed to make some decent progress on it. I completely rewised modular system on houses and ground elements and reworked alomst everything in the scene. But I think Im happy with the results. Im gonna spent more time on polishing, vfx and…

Thanks! It made more sense in the context of the story but apart from that I personally like the mix between contemporary and fantasy elements. :# Although I don't think I did a very good job of representing the aesthetic I was going for hahaha. I'll apply myself more on the next project! =)
I forgot to update the thread quite a bit. I changed plans and went for the 30mm turret first. Current status: -Completing blockout of the turret. -Starting HP work on some elements -Tackle tracks. (going for Wot/WT style in modeling each link) All still very wip.
Blaisoid: I totally see what you mean, and I agree with you. I'll try to bring the elements from the concept you mentioned and stay true to it. chrisradsby: Yeah, I'll tone down the vignette, its true that its way too black around the edges. Thanks for the crits!
:poly101: I love so much that this scene exists. You should try lighting it a couple different ways, there's so much great reference in the show of Don's office at various hours of the day. Have you considered adding game elements to the scene? Because I'd really love to play it.
ya i think you should really stick with the concept and stay with brighter lighting. i actually quite like the Sam's concepts i never did a scene based off one of this concepts but i have used elements from that concept and a few others in scenes of my own.
Woohoo thread revival! Maybe i'm being my usual retarded self, but please do tell me where i can find the UV shell fill. I'm already loving the Element fill for quickly churning out masks, but a UV shell fill would kick ass :)
sargentcrunch- man I done in in 1 min. just to show him how to tile this elements. He can map 2 models or 2 color variations on this texture, or just make 512_512, come one. IMO vertex paint isn't necessary and require quite complicated shader. Not worth.
