Zetheros, 9th Knight, thank you very much for your support! This contest is great : being helped by a great community on polycount encouraging me, advising me, and answering my questions! Hope to see your items in workshop soon ! P.S.: @zetheros: I do believe I am not the only one who wants to see my blade shine in the sun…
first time for you in OSX? thats just how an application that follows the operating system GUI conventions will display its global menu items in windowed mode. no way of attaching that to the window frame. if you compare against other apps installed on your system it should be the same for most of them. what you can do in…
Blueprints are crazy, I don't think a lot of people see how powerful they are yet, but that will change soon hopefully! Here's something you could do with it: Place an item in the scene, and select the top-mid and bottom meshes. Let is automatically drop it on the floor and place them neatly ( in this case a beam ) Now,…
I don't think you know what you're talking about. The advantage of a modifier stack is to reify operations as non-destructive, parametric items. Any time you want to change things modifiers are there to help you. That can be fixing inaccuracies, incorporating feedback, AD revisions, etc. I don't do "creative" work. I make…
Yep, agreed. I'll add these to the wishlist items. In the meantime here's how I avoid the ton of WAYWO notifications. The only drag with this setup is having to manually hit the "Add to Favorites" button whenever I want notifications from threads I post in. I wish there was an option for "automatically favorite any threads…

When retopping be sure to think about projection and how well details will bake etc... As for baking I'd use xnormal, its quicker to set up then any other piece of software and IMO…
marmoset is a bit of a resource hog, isn't it? at least the 1.x i am using makes my gfx card spin up noticeably. perhaps turning down post-processing and sticking to simple shaders solves that though. if it's the same case for you, have a look at point cloud viewers, that's the type you usually use with scan data.…
I'm having an issue where if I click the SS button, instead of it switching between offsets and number of edges, it just throws out the error "G:/Libraries/Documents/maya/2017/scripts//AMTools/AMTScripts/StartShapeShifter.mel line 262: Found no valid items to add the attribute to. // " also when I try to use easy circle,…
Got more of a scene concepted. Still not sure If I'm happy with the content as it is, I think I want to add more, but I'm not really sure what. The background has done a good job for filling the space and I'm wondering how much particle effects will come into play when it comes to filling it more. For reference, Ill be…
Thanks for the replys everyone My scene is set to default Y-Up The viewcube trick works though it seems to revert back every now and again thanks rube And my camera clipping plane is set high enough but the scene gets zoomed out to the point where I have to select an item in the outliner to zoom into When I delete all my…
