i use both initially, decimate to a target count, optimize 90%, weld at a micro threshold to remove small things, give it a look over (delete incidental dynamesh pockets), then clean up as necessary while unwrapping; embracing that inner slug.
I've done a bit more ready about this and feel a bit silly about my initial reaction. :) It's not like it was Autodesk giving the money. :P Now my question is ... only $30K? Ha ha! =)
I was really excited until it hit 51 seconds and switched to an isometric view. I mean, not that there's anything wrong with iso games, I just really loved the initial visuals so much more!
02/30 - Space Went for some kind of space rock, was initially inspired by mars rocks but then kinda just started doodling and went on a tangent. About 1 hour for this one!

I've never personally experienced this, but yeah that is kind of crappy. Since it is so important to show your past work as a freelancer, you should try to add something to your initial contract that would allow this.
