humm probably a mix of: - Animated UV's? You can put a sequence of images in the material slots in max too. - Two or more animated noise modifiers (one for big waves, another for tiny surface noise) - Animated transparent ripple textures around rocks, or you can push these out of particle emitters. - A few more particle…
@Alberto Thanks! I like it wold be a good idea to increase the rock sizes too, maybe use rocks to show the facial planes? like one/two rocks for the chin, one on the cheek etc... Something like this: @Goraaz, Are you talking about doing that to the model as a whole, or for each indivisual rock? Cheers :) Edit: Think i got…
Cool! I played through it, the top two turrets had me stumped for a little while. I think the only thing I didn't like was that I was able to take advantage of the "no fall damage" too much. If you were to make another one, I think its a better puzzle if it doesn't require me to fall 50 feet onto a cement floor. IMO
The vector has to be 3d. The third value can be computed if the other two are known and you assume it to be in one hemisphere but you cannot do that at render time because it eats too much time. You could compute it at load time but that would increase load times for your game and there's just no reason for that because…
Wish I was able to do this kind of stuff after two months...is this your low poly model? It's good, but I suggest playing with the shape of the head a bit more, and really reducing the polycount at his nasal area; way too many polys there for what you want. You gonna sculpt it? It looks like you could, you kept everything…
i recommend making one material darker than the rest. and a fix point for the eye. atm its all one big value in brightness so it all melts to one together i think. something different than grey might be cool too. not sayin u should make it colorfull. just add some saturationand one two spots of color more.
GX.. hahaha, too true... though I seriously doubt I'd get a brand new bike (again, unless I come across a killer deal), but mainly my friends were suggesting starting a step or two up from 'basic bike' cause they feel I'd get the hang of it quickly and rather shortly be wanting something a bit more powerful than the 250.
Thanks for the feedback JamesBrisnehan ! Indeed there are two coaxial drive-shaft. You can see in this animation ;) (I think I worked too much time in aircraft industry xDD). But probably you're right and five blades works better for this style. I'll keep it for future fantasy-punk windmill xD I thought make the blades…
Hi! Thank you for reporting this, it is a very anoying bug and I have encountered it a few times myself. sometimes I need to restart, but sometimes it works if I Hold "C" and click+hold the mousebutton for two/three seconds.. After that I wait a few seconds and then the browser pops up. This is of course a bug non the less…
If nothing else, the PSU is WAY too expensive, and the SSD drive is pretty much excess. Get two normal drives, and get a PSU in the $100 range. That'll save you an easy $250 with no real performance degradation. If you're going to throw down serious money for a rig, then at least put the money into the main components like…
