I hate to beat a dead horse, BUT! Microsoft wouldn't be worried about this from a money perspective. There is no competition. What they will worry about is quality control, making sure that their beloved and cash cow of an ip is done exactly how they want. So regardless if money is ever involved, they would shut this down…
