Thank you guys for replying , :) i will surly be in touch with you . i am a student right now , but yes my plans are to become pro and i know it will take a lot of hard work and i am ready for it , i think i can use vertex paint in ue 4 ,but i wanted to make it like i am making it for someone else and don't want them to do…
EmAR: Cheers on the reply :) I think its just the perspective on the 350Z, but you are right, it looks very funky indeed. I may take that off my portfolio altogether, as it was one of my first school projects and doesn't reflect where I am at now. I don't know the original artist's name, but I will look right now, and see…
Cheez- yeah awesome dude...and very talented, I've learned a lot from him! he has tons of stories about off the wall stuff! @Shiniku- sure thing man, i'm a lurker so I rarely contribute and figured this would be a good way to share... and who doesn't love Carlo's work! been kinda busy today and slow to reply... i spoke…
Thanks for the replies everyone! To address a couple of points, I do enjoy 3d, mostly sculpting, I'm terribly slow and awkward at polygon modeling which is discouraging to an extent, and also why I focus most of my time and energy into zbrush. I have been studying anatomy/loomis here lately, and I do feel like I've seen…
Wow, I think you have improved a lot since the last time you posted a thread. Proportions are not too bad. Your anatomy still can use more work though. For example, the ribcage could be just a little wider toward the top, and the leg muscles look funny, especially above the knees, as if she were missing muscles on the…
@James Ordner Thanks for replying. I have been using the Maya version of hotkeys in the input section of the user preferences window and it seems it has a clash with some of the tools and I am using a manual that contains hotkey reference to the default Blender settings. So after reading ur reply,I switched to Blender…
Wait, this is a little confusing and I may be reading your post wrong, but I'm getting the impression that you're complaining (which you're allowed to) about your school providing you with the resources and encouraging you to improve your career applicable skills? Or even that what is now your hobby is now coursework? I…
@Obscura Ah guess I won't be benefiting from that in any form then. When it's exported from sketchup the vertices have to be welded so no smoothing information survives, the work I do in max for smoothing is basic and I wouldn't trust it with unwrapping. I'm using substance painter for the texturing. @pior The way I view…
Here is a nice black look for the mentions on the visual side of things for you to aim for: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/4beGwn Here is a rusted texture that looks neat if you wanted more details instead of mud/dirt all over, you can add variety to the look and make it pop out more:…
@Kel-Shaded the high matches the low pretty well. I set up the base high poly in maya by adding support edge loops then brought it into zbrush and divided it with smooth turned off (mostly because zbrush smoothing recedes open edges unlike maya.) the zbrush dividing without smoothing did affect the normal map in that you…
