yep, very nice start :) Out of interest, how are you going about this... do you just start from a bunch of primitives and cut / bevel / extrude new geometry? Is this main engine block all one object, or multiple separate elements?
I'll cosign shep's crit. Dont let your overlays run into seperate elements it looks cheap. That said, this is an impressive improvement without much actual criticism to inspire it--why didnt you do it like that in the first place? ;) Looks good, bud.
Played it last night with a buddy and I liked it a lot! I like how it had elements of teamwork like in army of two. It did suck however that both our headsets were broke so we old schooled it and speaker phoned that shit.
/ff geek on There were a couple things that made me think this was the FF7 universe, the pack of dogs running at the start of the XIII movie, the "corporate" element to the versus video, and the dudes who look surprisingly like Turks. /ff geek off looks sweet.
The manually edited filigree is really well done although utilizing artistic license albeit balancing between context and personal aesthetic, can be a fine line too tread when presenting work, without in my opinion diminishing the effort involved by inclusion of dissimilar elements.
Thank you @sacboi ! Good point about the edges, I think I'm gonna make all elements that need to be done to see the whole object and then go and revisit all edges. Some of them may be kinda okaaay, but most I don't like at the moment.
Nice! I hope you won't mind if I elaborate a little further on composition: Personally I tend to prefer shots like these with a more asymmetrically balanced composition; it gives the image a little more dynamic feeling. I think some of the vertical elements you have in the frame are competing with each other and it gives…
Illustration - "The Flying Vikings". Something different, this was personal work. I thought up a party of children with their grandfather and large clockwork toy (a beast) riding on a flying viking ship. They are getting ambushed by dragon riders. I drew the elements in pencils and then coloured it in Photoshop, Close up...
Looks cool It feels like the scale is a bit off tho - Many of the elements are very small for the small size of a pistol, with a lot of smaller details that are a bit too finicky for hands, giving the impression of looking like a very large object (especially the sights and front area)
I was unaware of the need to moderate the thread before uploading so it seems multiple have appeared. If MODs notice leave this one and nuke the rest please. Here are images of the other elements of the train and props. Software used includes Maya, ZBrush, Photoshop and Substance Painter.
