Okay thanks for the response. Is there any relatively quick way to fix this? I used the cv curve tool and appiled the "bevel plus" modifier..

Thanks morte, that's just plain matcap pearl cavity I'm using, with the intensity turned down slightly (Material>Modifiers>IntensityA/B)

use sbm it's the most simple approach to use xnormal with max. because it exports your lowpoly with projection modifier (cage) in one file.

You can apply smoothing groups on your UV then add double turbosmooth modifier where 1 one be with preserve smoothing group.

Just increase the divisions to paint, you wont modify UV's or topology... the only thing you will export from mudbox is the texture maps.

You either can't move it or you need to use a modifier key - I forget exactly. It's probably documented though, check the website

Can you post a screenshot? The Unwrap modifier highlights texture seams with green, but I don't know if that's what you are talking about.

What exactly did you change? Also, if you put a lattice modifier on your model it will be easier to see what you've done.
