Pretty good PA report opinion piece here on this whole debacle and the bubbling cess pit that is the internet in general. The more I think about it, the more I'm inclined to side with this side of the argument. http://penny-arcade.com/report/article/swimming-in-a-sea-of-shit-the-internets-war-against-creatives
Yeah I understand what you are saying. The props definitely need work. The dolly shot I did both ways actually and with the music it worked a lot better pushing forward. Everything else you mentioned I could see working but it's sort of creative view stuff. Thanks!
Wow, really well executed, and not only that, really creative detail touches! My favorite is the book left openside down to keep the page Tells a little story, the dude probably just got up to see what his wife is nagging at from the kitchen window or something like that lol.
@skankerzero You can be better than the best all you want, but it comes to naught if the client makes a decision, for better or worse. I can think of a dozen scenarios where something like this would end up in a final product. Are devs answerable to creative direction from outside the team?
First udk test and first texture pass (Normal+Diffuse only) (I miss ue4's menus already XD) I am not a creative man XD, struggling to find a strong direction for the texture, its currently all pretty global, havent got into the nitty gritty details.
I spent more time modding games then playing them when I was learning. I have been playing more games since but I've decided to try an experiment where I'll take a year off from games and replace my game playing urges with creative things.
Yeah Neox, cool workflow - it's kinda ironic really, MD is supposed to be the intuitive way of making clothing garments but at the end of the day I found it almost impossible to be creative straight within the app. It sure is interesting tho, makes me want to learn more about patterns and garments for sure ...
The questions don't seem to fit their intended topic. I don't see much that relates to videogames and their relationship with players. Feels more like videogames and their effect on anger/violence which is a played out topic at this point. This is a good opportunity to ask questions that haven't been asked before and get…
Pior: Of course, we all know that. I think Bilbana's point was that this plugin buys us a little more creative freedom within the confines of our pipelines, while renderhjs and Blaizer were talking down automatic UV generation in general, undeservedly dissing the tool and missing the point :P
Yep, he is supposed to go ingame, where you can mangle him in different, creative ways with this, while others driving this are trying somewhat absently not to make him die. Should be all sorts of fun and games! Or so I hope at least :D EDIT: thumb fixed, thanks ^_^
