yeah, that was the reference. I defneetly see what you're saying. I don't think I was creative enough regarding that. I haven't really time for a style yet, as I don't think im really skilled eniugh to do any style justice, but nwxt time for sure
love the particles, creative stuff indeed, btw im making a set for gondar (bounty hunter) but i cannot figure out how do i make his Weapon particles only activate when Jinada is ready for use, i ty in advance for reading this, cheers. - Quimera
Hey Cj! Pixel art is definitely not something that DDO is designed to do out of the box, but I don't see why you couldn't accomplish it. It's just a style like any other. Creatively using masks and stylizing your textures with DDO should be as simple as it is in Photoshop or other tools.
I think if it was anyone but JK writing, the urge to connect the mainline story to this new movie would be too strong to resist, but I believe that JK is taking this on because she has actual creative reasons for wanting to explore this age of wizarding. I'm excited to see what she does with it.
check out Ninja_UV.. it makes mapping much faster and easier you can get it on Creative Crash http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/marketplace/scripts-plugins/texturing/c/ninja-uv--2 [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWEurSMMJi0"]Ninja_UV (Mapping Tools) - YouTube[/ame]
It looks awesome the only thing i would suggest (I tend to think more logically than creatively) is making something for who ever is using the weapon to have it sit on their shoulder or something to brace themselves, a weapon that size i would expect to have a decent amount of recoil.
We used that to generate most of our marketing screens for our last game. We got pretty creative and created digital 'green' room maps to take hi-res shots of assets and characters in so that we could do some touch up later. Cheers, Tyler
Are you certain the depth and geometry are created by the shader? It can be done, but at what cost? Unless you are doing something very dynamic, maybe it'd be better to just use an additive material and some creative modeling (modeling a shelled top, shelled bottom, and simple in-between for each element).
I'm guessing most of you have seen this. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7Pq-S557XQU But yes. The idea is that even creativity can be automated, as they're still governed by quantifiable rules. Stories, music, art, world creation will all be automatable (very likely sooner rather than later).
i found something called digital tutors, and going through it as we speak, hopefully this will answer my noob-ish questions :D i am looking very much forward to playing around with this and being creative, and when i get good enough, i'll post pictures xD
