Hello everyone! Robot arm i did months ago for a VFX project. i had used blender. substance painter and uvlayout for better resolution and more check out the artstation link https://www.artstation.com/artwork/dDBkJ
10k polys LowPoly 300k HighPoly UV maked in UVLayout in Marmoset:(standart settings) In Substance: (standart settings) UV's: Importing OBJ version of model to Marmoset lead to crush of program. What can i do?
Man, unwrapping is one of my favourite parts of 3D...its sorta like retop can be quite mindless and peaceful - no need to think :D *especially with UVLayout*
Hi ! It's my first post here and I'd like to show you my last personal project. Blacksad from the comics of Juanjo Guarnido. For the software used : Zbrush4r7 / Maya 2014/ MarvelousDesigner4 / MarmosetToolbag2.7 / UVLayout / Photoshop CS6
I'm modelling with 3ds Max and ZBrush, and making the UVs with Headus UVLayout. How do I offset the UVs to match the texture exactly? Do I have to do it one-by-one?
Check out Headus UVLayout. This looks like it's all quads so you should be able to do a rectilinear relax which will give you perfect straight strap uv's.
are so perhaps settings? apart rotating the uvs what did you do ? because I tried diffferent uvlayouts but I did get always the same strange artefacts ...
Kept looking for this thread in the technical forum -_- Looks a lot like headus UVLayout, only more user friendly, but perhaps not quite as feature packed. Price scares me, though.
@gfelton thanks @Stavaas thanks @AXEL thanks. Here's the tools I'm using: 3DS Max, UVLayout, Photoshop, Substance Painter, and finally UE4 :) I might create a tutorial or making of at the end :)
