yeah, managed to get this running kind of, but its very low res , probably 320x 240 and the mouse pointer is missing. not exactly ideal. my vid card is fairly old, but doom3 itself runs fine. any ideas?

No problem, typically you would want to set it to 1.8 if you're working on game assets. 2.2 is good if you want light to behave correctly (good for architectural renders or anything requiring photorealism)

I guess you could apply a gamma correction of 0.45 (1/2.2). And certainly convert to 16 or 32 bits before it, else you'll lose information. Not sure of the utility of it tho.
