Beautiful progress :) your scene looks alive and interesting. I agree with @jStins the blue screen is to much, I prefered the pre version more. Maybe one tought ... the door in the background is slightly open, at the moment it is pitch black. Would be interesting if you had a very soft light in the floor to create an…
Popping the edge to support some of the hi poly is going to cause that. Either put it back to where it was, flush with the surface, to prevent that smoothing issue or model an extra loop and end it close to where you want it neat the transition of the hi poly bulge. Or blur it out in photoshop, sample from the area around…
Undoubtedly. Fortunately still have a month. Although with some well placed soft cloth physics, wind and dust effects, shouldn't be too crazy to make the set it self come to life. Biggest time sink will be putting together era appropriate background characters and extras to fill out some of the scenes. I'll tackle that one…
1: Get a job...any job. 2: Try to be a happier, more positive person, no matter how badly I feel. 3: Put more effort into my declining health and try to turn it around. 4: Quit drinking soda, and switch to water permanently. 5: Forget about games/art until 1-4 are completed at least.
the eye sockets still look a bit flat. few other things: *the forehead looks really off in terms of basic anatomy planes. *corner of the mouth/lips is too soft/round. this would be handy for the forehead specially:…
Lately I've been kinda of busy, but yesterday I could finally work on correcting this scene so I'm posting the update here. I've corrected the mirrored textures, the scale of the music notes on the crinkled up paper and corrected the fingerboard shape. I've also made the crinkled up paper a bit sharper (I felt it was a bit…
I don't have a Visual Studio. The problem is that I had some version of the redistributables files but it doesn't work properly with your soft. IMO you should check it and install different\newer version of the redistributables files. I had 'update' and 'unistall' options, I chose update and it fails later, because I was…
Your ground stones are way too uniform and flat. Some actual Geo popping up and down will help sell it a bit more. Also, as others have said, the shadows are still off. They are too soft for how strong the lighting is at the end of the hallway and make it appear that the pillars are floating/not grounded. Getting better…
I know it's a wip, but forms look too bubbly at the moment. You need to contrast those soft forms with sharp ones on strategic places. I would use some sort of flat, hard brush to define landmarks where bones sit close underneath skin and chisel some of the forms. As it's a dwarf, you can even go overboard.
i really like the borderlands design... HOWEVER, i can also instantly see what the trolls out there will say about it: if they make her a slightly aggressive personality - typical angry fatty. if they make her a soft and loving personality - typical "lovely person" fatty. if they make her a slightly feminist personality -…
