Looks like a great start, the proportions are looking okay, try and get the same atmosphere without paying too much attention to how accurate the vertices are placed. You have a good perception of the 3D elements I'd disregard the bike and just continue on the environment.
Started with texturing some of the elements of the throne room. Here's my third wip: Still need a lot of texturing done and I will just render the scene in Max instead of using a game engine. Still need to learn a game engine for a nice in-game result.
Here are a first couple of rough sketches. Trying to keep some of Diana's iconic shapes while introducing more of the Project sci-fi element. For the next round of iteration I'd like to add more silhouettes breaks, asymmetry as well as dive into the helmet concept.
Are there any other elements fellow? A certain algorithm what goes into a selecting an entry for this one? Is it just what those who choose find appeasing or is it something more? Because just wip sculpts have been in, but you fellows always stress finishing pieces/
Why not just weld all the geometry elements together at the seams in Maya? That wont harm the UV shells, and assuming the shell borders are the same as the geometry borders you could simply export from zbrush based on uv-polgroups to get the original breaks if need be.
If it's still black in the output files then you need to read my post again. You're probably just changing your global environment colour, as opposed to the element background in the RTT window. Either they've changed the functionality in 2012 or you're not quite following correctly.
Went back and re-evaluated every element of the low poly in order to smooth correctly. Did some sculpting on the stock to make it look worn also. Here's a quick gif, I'll deliver a more detailed presentation of the model once I've finished texturing
If the panels shown are across the full width of your texture and not tiled more than once you have repeating elements in a tiling texture. This will make the problem worse. The far right panel repeats twice. What style are you going for ? Realistic or slightly stylised ?
[ame] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4amtGiPpvhQ[/ame] little bit nostalgic ... before playing the new one /.. they didn't show any in game comic strip in this trailer, which is part of the strongest element in max payne, but this trailer still classic best :D
That monitor in particular popped me back to the 80's. Very crisp and well put together, you're putting together a lot of elements to put together a nice scene. Are you going straight to arrangement in 3d or do you have some sketchs of the overall?
