I don't see any of the things you mentioned. It sounds like it looks like posting at CGTalk, which I am very familiar with......... EDIT: I found it, my account was set by default NOT to show the format elements.......... sheesh wtf?
sorry but this story seams to be made from some random elements thrown together without much thought egyptian god fighting emo magicians in an ancient palace in the future, oh yeah and theres a portal above too. less is more sometimes
If forcing it to never stream didn't work than something strange is going on. Setting to the UI group will probably do this by default, as you usually don't want UI elements to ever stream. You always want them hi-rez and crisp.
just tried that, and when i looked in the viewer, it still only showed one mesh, but all the elements were here there and everywhere. (for your info, i have already reset x-form everything, its standard practice to me hehe)
One little suggestion that might add to the character: the little V on the front of the helmet...I would work on that. If you made something bigger to go along with the chunky proportions, it would add another great element to the overall design. Just a nitpick.
Agree with the comments above. For this kind of texture, I find much better results from modelling and baking the larger elements (borders of each stone in this case), then blending with an nvidea filtered layer for the fine details that aren't worth spending the time to model.
Question for you, now this seems to be a rather technical piece of hard surface, also it looks like your working on the objects local system instead of the world. Do you use snapping a lot or do you mostly eyeball your elements?
Ryno, the graphic novel wasn't exactly historically perfect, either. The movie is based directly from the book. So if you want historical perfection, you might want to just google up Thermopylae. TGZ - 5th Element, hell yeah
Just wanted to chime in with what most people are saying here. I especially like the duck and cover tactics, it's a nice element. The game felt somewhat short, but I can't really complain considering the quality and effort that went into this. Multiplayer FTW!!
We are looking for a RealTime 3D artist to assist with building AR and virtual elements for live broadcast. Experience with modeling in Unreal. If experience with Zero Denisty and/or Disguise, that is great! Could start last week in August and go for 4 - 5 weeks. Please email kendra.russell@warnermedia.com if interested…
