yeah, so that I could have some sort of turbulence to have the cloth kind of slowly deform into odd shapes and ripple in the water when it's moving slowly. i see a lot on youtube who use nCloth supposedly, and it looked good, so I wanted to try. Stormy BA the problem you are describing with the color ID map usually occurs when the mask isnt sharp enough, maybe there are some soft transitions between the colors? It's cool but you're detailing way too soon - the details are coming out soft and quite blurry because you haven't established good enough forms. I'd say go back down to level 2-3 and build up from there. Also are you using any proportional guides? Would be good to help keep it at the right proportions and size. Keep going!

Something is wrong with your edges. I don't know what's going on with the lumpiness on the wood itself though. It's making the entire sculpt seem soft instead of hard. For hard surfaces try and stay away from the smooth brush. I would make the wood grains more deep as well. That will help them stand out a little more. Hope…
