personally I'd say bake it as a pass and comp it on after. you get more control that way. just make sure you don't just multiply it over the final image directly. mask your indirect diffuse with it and then ADD that
I would try the cartoon edges effects, there are plenty of tutorials on that, just make the lines bright color instead. Then i would use a PP for the sceen tinting and mask it off by scene depth. Might give it a try tomorrow.
Quick Video of what I am working on with the topology map based dirt masks. Enjoy :) Still tweaking making sure these make sense and are functional in many different usages. https://vimeo.com/85016170 [vv]85016170[/vv]
I hadn't thought of its exact function. I decided it will be a gas mask with a power source in the back. Thanks for the comment keeping functionality in mind will help me define it from here. I will post an update over the weekend!
Wow, this guy is looking more and more Awesome!! I agree, needs more dirt and don't be afraid to use a little environment mapping with a noisy mask around the edges. That would give the light something more to bounce off of.
Lol, that's actually one of my old drawings, it's just a design I came up with half seriously and then abandoned. I agree that the scarf is a better idea, as it's both a better replacement for the Spy's mask and is more grounded in actual fashion.
You can use a blend material. A lot of people put "vertex color" in the mask channel and then apply vertex paint modifer to the object and paint the blend. It won't show up in the viewport but it will show up when you render.
What you can also do to get UV Islands, is assign the pieces the RGB colors of 255,0,0 another area 0,255,0 and the third as 0,0,255. That way you'll get an RGB map with exact mask in each of the RGB channels.
We updated Amplify Motion, Version 1.2.3 features: * Fixed excluded and/or instantiated objects from leaking into the background. * Fixed intermittent motion blur in slow velocities * Improved accuracy of motion blur sampling and masking. Product Page
These are amazing, I love all of these hardcore cyberpunk characters, like the gas mask troll things. You're all such incredibly talented designers. Also the chic with her face painted like a skull is pretty hot imo. XD
