Always save multiple versions as you work on models. Whenever I feel like I made some big advance or I'm unsure whether to apply a dramatic change to my project, I save a copy of it...that way, if I don't like the new version, or any crashes occur, I don't lose much time. My usual problems, too big in scope - ends up being a several GB huge corpse of a project, rotting in some folder. Or it starts small but perfectionism kicks in and makes it grow into a clusterfuck where i constantly are in doubt: can i still handle it, and can my computer? I should have been done with my current project… -

m4dcow - well what I did originally was to install 'disk digger' on the phone itself which worked fine. There were no obvious image files in the usual folders like DCIM etc but disk digger got nearly all the photos 'but' corrupted all the MP4's. Bleh, I've calmed down a bit after my data loss. I don't know what was causing it, I didn't install and plug-ins or anything, just had a straight vanilla install. Couldn't find it, so I wrote it again. It doesn't delete and recreate objects. It simply links everything to a temp dummy in the order you specify and then deletes the dummy. I export using the 3dsmax renderUV template with specific colors. Then I have a simple photoshop action I recorded that selects by those colors and makes layers, folders and generally sets up my texture files the way I like. I have it look for the line and edge color, as well as break off the UV islands to their own layer.… -

or simply replace the machinegun. open the md3, remove the machinegun (but not the tags!!) and slot your one where the old one was, make sure your muzzle lines up with the flash tag. re-save into the same folder structure as the zip.
