While personally I don't mind losing progress and in some cases it can make me feel more satisifed after I actually beat a game, there are many ways to make games more challenging without forcing the players to repeat large sections of the game. I think the original Halo:CE actually got this right. It combined both the…
I think the one-time DLC cards are retarded. I already paid $60, so I don't really feel like I should have to enter a code to get what I already paid for. I can understand your concern TGZ. Frankly I think the current game design philosophy is over, and we are in for a major shift in how games are made again. I hope that…
The work is pretty lumpy. None of the character work is very compelling or attractive. Both props and characters need a good foundation which you can get through practice. You can speed up progress by taking a character creation course and there are many good ones to choose from. Keep having fun!
Hi! Im stuck and cannot progress further on my project. I need to bake 128 sided cyllinder. My lowpoly has 32. I tried adding support loops scaling highpoly so it completely encapsulates the lowpoly, cages, different software but i cannot get rid of waviness at the bottom. What can i do? Is it even possible? My colleagues…
I wouldnt post it unless i wanted to redo it in some time so that i can show progression. The roof is not the only part with problems and the lighting is not very flattering. If it had any complex materials/shaders then maybe i would have posted for that but...
Progress on Sol was halted for a little while while I focused on my Photogrammetry project, but I have now returned! With exciting news, too - our early demo for Lone Sol is now available on itch.io! https://nameheregames.itch.io/lone-sol So, here's where we left off! I realised we were off to a great start when I loaded…
progress has been slow but here is the (hopefully) final render and I can finally move on with this project :# https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vSke7kVLz4s
Ged: Cheers man :) InProgress: Nah, not entirely in ZB - I built the basic shapes in Max. STEVE: Thanks dude, you surfin now? Took a little break from jouste's character. I'm currently in the process of dealing with some paperwork for a new job, in the meantime - I'm working on some smaller projects to keep me busy. Thanks…
(4/7/21) Hello again Polycount! Just an update on the project so far. Work on the project has slowed down since I recently started a new term of college and have been focusing on my classes, but I am still trying to also put some time aside to keep working on my environment here and there. It can be difficult for me to…
I was unable to find any valuable information on the first link, and upon reviewing the second, it appears that he does not elaborate on his methodology. I believe I have a concept in mind, but I was hoping to observe the process from start to finish.
