Ticket sign prop A bit more complex prop. There still is a bunch of problems like metal bars intersecting with plate and glitches on a cylinder edges. But I am time restricted, so decided to stop at this stage. By the way, I like how emissive materials looks here.
Well quite often I spot bad UV'ing and seams on lots of props in games but to be fair their sheer scale and the fact most of these props are not made for long glancing makes up for it. Texturing can take ages if done to perfection but then would some games be finished in time :D
ENVIRONMENT ART MENTORSHIP 2020: First round of props - containers and smaller wall designs. Not really sure how this will turn out, so I'm just making a list of all of the props I could need and doing a few variations on them. Still no final models yet, just sketching.
*SPOILERS AHEAD* I chose to do the first (and final) scene, This is my work so far, I still need to tweak some proportions, add some random boxes and props scattered over the place and work on the textures. The characters have less than 500 tris and the props 100.
will do soon I've got flats and stuff for some of the props that I made. I need to fix the spec on this just haven't gotten around to it :P The post which is barely visible ^^ all textures for props are at 512 the fence is 512x256 and 256x256 will get some other stuff up tomorrow.
it seems all props screenshots are taken w/o any lighting, pure diffuse ingame, however, there's baked vertex lightmaps on buildings and all props are lit correctly and look more contrast and volumetric whole art direction for RT assets was revolving around the idea of keeping black to minimum
Yes, I agree I do need to add 3d props, environments and game art related pieces on my site. I will be adding some 3d props, hopefully by this weekend and over the course of this week. Thank you guys, I am a rookie, but I definitely want to improve.
I was always impressed with the good planning that went into the levels and props in gears 1, made the project i was on look like a joke at the time. Nice to see this good planning goes all the way down to the asset creation front. Props to you and your team from a fellow pro
Hi! Here is my first props for the 3December. I'm late......It took me too much time..... Maybe 10h or 12h on two days :/ I'll never imagine how beneficial this 3December would be to learn how to estimate and manage my time! Next props will be simpler! : D Thanks to Betty Jiang for his wesome concept…
Some small progress on a couple of props to fill in the walls, some paintings (originals by Zdzisław Beksiński, a Polish painter I love). I am particularly happy with the oil paint cracks and roughness, gilded wood frames are not perfect, but I am happy with them as they are, since they are not hero props :)
