Eric is correct. What you see is the skin material and the body material. They are on the same texture sheet but skin and body are usually actually welded but with an hard edge between the two material groups. The head is actually split from the body tho, the faces almost never get touhed, so the rigging and skinning stays… -

in our in house game engine mikkt made no difference, cured nothing . My few tests in Unreal4 last year showed it wasn't a magic fix there too. I still saw gradients at dawn/dusk lighting. After all normal maps are heavily compressed two 8 bit channels usually. I doubt they would be ever nice with its gradients -

Hey @Brian "Panda" Choi :) I actually have a hard time dealing with this, too. I don't think I've done two art tests, or more than one, at the same time. Last year, it felt like it was one right after another, but only for a short while. It must be a good sign, though, to get a lot of responses and tests coming in. -

Yeah currently its a unique material per asset with baked information, which is the source of a lot of problems and why the pieces don't fit together (as I've modelled according to the high poly too) and I've come to realise that two tileable materials would've been a lot better. If you want to stick with just having one stub you can go with something similar the one on the far right. You can drill a hole through it if you want to keep that too. Now if you want to switch to having two studs while keeping the hole I think the one next to the far right is a pretty good. -
