I've been working on this character for my Senior Project class and I like how the character it turning out so far. The concept is by Alejandro Anguiano, my art lead for this production class. If you're wondering, this character is androgynous. I will soon texture this character in a sort of vibrant purplish color along…
Thanks for all your replies. Today I'm going to to sculpt something and show you results. FourtyNights, I'll try to use your advice in learning anatomy. I spent a lot of time learning anatomy, so I have small knowledge but I can only use it in sculpting people, it does not helps much in other creatures. Here are some…
I started some modelling work of a panda but I think I made too big a jump from what I had been making to an accurate creature and am feeling overwhelmed by it. I want to start a new project and work through it not as a tutorial, just using the skills I have learnt, but at the same time not have something too easy to work…
Hi, I finally managed to deal with these artifacts, and played with custom cage. But there is an other artifact I can't get rid of, the ones on the tips. This creature has many spikes and at everytip it seems to have some difficulty to bake the normal map correctly. I tweaked the map manually in photoshop using the healing…
Here's the latest update on the Monster Cryo Prison. I added a walk way and tried to make the window bigger, but it just didn't work with the look. The story behind it's size (the window) is like a submarine's glass. Small and thick, as to keep what ever creature is inside in case it happens to thaw out. I did manage to…
Ah yeah, would've been nice if I also told what I actually do on this title. Primarily I'm a character modeller+ texture artist. I also do concepts for creatures, clothing etc. ect. So indeed the concept art on the site is not by me (done by Romano Molenaar. Yet the stuff I concept, although being very different in style,…
The head looks amazing like seriously amazing, but it looks very different from the body. It has a lot more rinkles and veins throughout it. Also it gives off more of a creature feel, where as the body still feels very human, but if that's what you're going for it looks good. Try adding some veins around his forearms and…
I'm pretty happy with her design and proportions. I'll just stop calling her Lloth, hehe. It wasn't my intent to model Lloth from the beginning. I just wanted to model a half-spider/half-woman creature based on driders from D&D. It wasn't until I read gaus' post that I started calling her Lloth. I'll just start calling her…
Speaking of Johnny Knoxville, I wouldn't mind seeing Steve-O get killed by some jackass stunt. Or at least his scrotum torn off. Back on subject of Croc Hunter Steve, how could you not have a light-hearted chuckle hearing about how he died? Amazing conservationalist or not, he was notorious for screwing with creatures that…
I'd add some bigger details up top. He doesn't seem very imposing up there when Im looking at him from the side. Massive shoulder plates, spikes, or something would help to give him a more menacing look. Usually when you see creatures with these inverse joints, they're more top heavy. I'd also broaden his shoulders as well…
