After discussion with the tutor from Digital Tutors it was discovered that Xtrees don't adhere completely to the terrain (will not follow the flow of the terrain). If there are a few trees floating they can be hidden behind closer vegetation and trees. Problem solved :)
Google search and Polycount rules! I LOVE you guys! I was experiencing the same stripes/banding problem and now it's solved thanks to you! Just resaved my stupid jpgs as tga and it did the trick!
I solved it. im sorry for wasting your time. ( reinstalled and it worted it) im back on track and swapted over to toolbag. I had to because it offers so many more baking options :) Thanks again.
Thanks! and yeah I agree. I have a couple ideas about how to solve that but I'll get around to that once I'm done blocking out all the armor and go back in to make tweaks and whatnot.
Ok so Ive tried installing to a USB instead of my main drive, which made no difference, QuixelSuite.exe still fails to load anything. Also a reinstall of Photoshop didnt seem to solve this either unfortunately :(
And i solved it myself within a minute of posting the problem... Apparently there's this thing like shift+clicking on the word 'Dynamic' that's listed in the top right of your draw size slider. Sorry for taking up space :o ...
I was having some serious slow down in Motion Builder and Max 2009 but I found that making a custom setting for my Nvidia card solved the problem. I’m running dual monitors if that makes a difference.
Ok, so the above issues are solved, thanks everyone. My seocnd question now is, how can i get my normal maps and spec to show up in the render now? Is it even possible? Thanks.
OMG thank you very much throttlekitty, I should say I love you very much for solving my problem and linking me that thread. It works GREAT, Perfect! Thanks once again!
I wrote a Script for automatic Reference setup...it also solves the Wireframe-problem, since the Refs are in a separate Layer and are always shaded. By default it uses the Settings I like best, but most of them can be toggled ;)
