Excited to work on this Vinyl Player prop. I think I could turn into a great portfolio piece. Here's my blockout starting out so far. For scale I used a standard 12" vinyl disc and the AA batteries real world dimensions as scale reference for the whole case.

is this for a physical portfolio or for a web portfolio? no offense but if it's for a web portfolio you should probably just stop right now. Unless you really do an amazing job it's probably not the best way to display your work.
Remove homepage. It's not a portfolio. 1 portfolio page. Since your sculpts are for some of your low poly's these should be together. Remove "graphite addiction" branding. This is a personal portfolio, not an art house. Larger font in resume.
No, that's fine, that requirement is there so that we can credit the winners properly and link to their portfolio. If you don't have any sort of portfolio, I would suggest starting an ArtStation page, but you will not be disqualified for not having a portfolio.

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I am nearing the point of wanting to build a portfolio site, but have no idea really how to create or run my own website, i know there is a link on the forums for a quick portfolio site, is that really the best way or are there other options?
