about the size i would recommend you to go with 2 24`s because most of the 27 inch screens got realy visible backlighting that fades from the corners. this can realy be an issue if you are working with colors and need the whole screen, like for composition etc. only exception are OLED displays, but they are expensive as…
Farmer Dobromir, poor guy, he has everything a man could wish for, except a faithful wife, reason why he puts in more hours into his work. That doesn't go unnoticed since the other villagers look to him as if he was a rockstar of farming. I made that up but I would like to think that this is his backstory.
Update time! Did a quick roof texture, baked some windows and finished off all of the modeling (Except for the foliage and some final touches). I also painted out a 512x256 foliage sheet which I will perhaps put to use later today. @Mixeh, I'll post up the material breakdown when it's finished.
Finally found time to post my progress! The dolly is pretty much complete except some minor details. I tried to make some adjustments that were suggested previously by Jeremiah but I still may need to push the thickness on some things even more. for now I leave you with two beauty renders.
Looks like every edge in your low poly is set to hard? To get a good bake, you will need to soften edges, except at hard (90 degrees or more) transitions in the model. For each hard edge, you will need to create a seam and leave a few pixels of padding between the UV shells. Also, this thread is helpful.
I have problem with your flash turntables maybe you wanna switch to html? The loading is long as roosterMAP said. I checked your CV if you gonna search for work or internship in other countries except swe ppl dont have time to read your 4 pages cv keep it as simple and short as possible.
I'm really digging the look and feel of that texture. It's so colorful too! It's like something I'd imagine in the Mania side of the Shivering Isles expansion pack...except more toony style. Anyway, I love the multiple colors you have going on. My only question is this: is that too much color for a cobblestone…
Roughness = gloss. They do pretty much the same thing. Energy conservation is shader based it just means there is the no more light reflected out than received. UE4 removed the "spec/gloss" workflow because they wanted to keep things cheap and pretty much everything except for metals has a fairly similar reluctance (…
I dunno, I'd say a lot of bony landmarks are present and accounted for. Except for the scapula, I guess - you have a lot of muscle definition on the back, which is odd since the rest of her isn't that muscly. I'd actually say this looks like a pretty believable sculpt of a person. Not a GENERIC person, or an idealized…
I guess they really, genuinely believe that the whole polygon limit thing was a good idea to begin with ... So basically ... they still don't understand that even indie devs might need to bake models in Xnormal. Oh well. PR talk is such a strange thing. "Yay, we heard your feedback ! Except, we really didn't !"
