Hello, I am looking for a experienced amazing 3D artist, who specializes in characters and fantasy monsters. Furthermore this artist needs to be familiar with the requirements for 3D printing, so that the model can be printed. Now what am I looking for, well I am looking for a highly detailed 80mm fantasy monster. I can't…
The lowpoly should wrap around the highpoly as closely as possible, when you bake, the highpoly and lowpoly must share the same 3D space as I did in the video. The lowpoly will project out and grab the highpoly normal data. When you bake using XNormal you can set the Maximum Frontal Ray Distance and Maximum Rear Ray…
he's probably not gonna use mudbox/zbrush for something like this. just a highpoly in 3dmax would be fine. Even though he's not gonna sculpt stuff on, a simple highpoly crowbar will help, especially in the edge areas. And then he can just overlay some finer details ontop in PS. He can even use the highpoly to bake out an…
Baking a trim sheet from a hipoly just like baking any other geometry. If your lowpoly matches up to your highpoly properly there shouldn't be any issues. What does the lowpoly look like? What does your UV layout look like?
Sorry if this comes a bit harsh here. But whats the pupose of all those models? I mostly see rushed highpoly models. With too few detail for justifiying a highpoly. If you do this just for getting some practice then why don't you stick to one of those objects and do a proper highpoly with sufficient details etc. Beside the…
like your logo, but not your fonts Why are your fonts so aliased ? The logo font is readable but the subpage fonts are too hard to read and need to be changed. The frontal presentation is cool. The grey borders are a good idea but could be of better graphical quality. Plain 50% grey is not nice to look at. If you dont want…
Hello polycount community, curious if someone of you has the technical background knowledge to answer this. I'm currently working on a rather big personal project of a futuristic sniper rifle with a lot of moving parts. Workflow is that I will render both the highpoly in some raytracer, probably Redshift, and create a pbr…
Nice project! In terms of modeling you have a fairly clean lowpoly mesh, good work here. I think it could use more polys all around since you have very visible facetting, especially on the big round dial in the middle and on the corner piece with where the lanyard is attached. In terms of proportions you have a few errors,…
I was wondering if anyone new the best way to bake a highpoly object w/ a material that has a procedural bump map to a lowpoly? The highpoly object has a procedural looking detail, but I want to bake it from the high to low, rather than adding it to the lowpoly texture and worrying about seams. Is this possible without…
decimation master is highly useful when you want to bring a really highpoly to a fairely lowpoly so you could retopolize (is that a word?) it. I see people tend to use topogun quiet a lot :) Im a noob so i cant help you further <_< good luck
