That's not a bad build, but you can shave probably ~$150 off by going with a 4790K and a LGA 1150 motherboard, with zero drop in performance. Avoid the crazy expensive "gamer" motherboards unless you really need some specific feature. -

Depending on how much rendering and video encoding you do, you may also want to check out this article at techspot http://www.techspot.com/review/1155-affordable-dual-xeon-pc/ Older tech but prices are great and they still do a hell of a job. -

Very nice stuff people! ScudzAlmighty, really liking the look of that character so far. This is what I've been working on lately, some lo-poly props with a cartoon theme to it, all textures are done by hand with basic photoshop brushes and the total tris count is 1153.
